- How does Heart Balance measure my heart rate with the camera?
- Rest a fingertip gently over the rear camera and flash. Each heartbeat changes how much light your fingertip lets through, and Heart Balance reads that change (photoplethysmography) for about 15 seconds. Every result shows its signal strength, and if the signal isn't clear it asks you to try again instead of guessing.
- Do I need an Apple Watch?
- No. Camera readings need only your iPhone. If you wear an Apple Watch, Heart Balance can also show your resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) from the Apple Health app, compared with your own usual.
- Is Heart Balance free?
